Meet Renee
I started Wholesome Hounds because I couldn’t unsee what traditional salons normalize: rushed handling, lack of product and tool knowledge, inconsistency of care, poor communication between groomer and dog as well as groomer and pet parent. That is why I went into well rounded care, diving in with canine skin science, holistic and ethical grooming practices, and now nutrition, because your dog deserves caring, reliable and dedicated care, not just a quick wash and tidy haircut. Today, I work privately, one dog at a time, with full presence and a plan that actually respects your dog’s body.

Skin-first grooming for coats that continue growing and can mat. Beautiful finish, healthier foundation.
BATH & TIDY
For dogs who do not need a full haircut, but still deserve full care, conditioning, and gentle drying.

For double and triple coats. Shedding support, strategic shaping, paw and hygiene details, natural silhouette.

What to Expect at Your First Visit
Every dog’s needs are different, so we begin with a real conversation, not a generic booking form. We’ll talk coat, skin, routine, temperament, diet, sensitivities, and what you have tried before.
From there, I’ll recommend the right service, cadence, and upgrades if your dog needs deeper support for coat health.
To keep care personal and unrushed, appointments are limited each month to protect the integrity of my work.

Your Dog’s Care Journey
STEP ONE: START THE CONVERSATION
Reach out. We will discuss basics of your dog, what service he or she needs and schedule your appointment accordingly.
STEP TWO: IN DEPTH CHECK IN
I ask thoughtful questions to learn more about your dog. I start building ideas on how to best support their experience and tailor a groom to their needs.
STEP THREE: THE GROOM
I get to work and pamper your pet! I take my time assessing your dog. Working at their pace to get a healthy and beautiful finish.
STEP FOUR: CARE PLAN + SCHEDULING
We did it! At check out I share my findings. Together we create a realistic, sustainable plan to ensure best practises and results. Let's make sure we rebook to ensure we stay on course.
